What the business is

Fintech building the Philippines' first high-tech, real-time credit bureau with an API-first platform that reports and serves consumer credit risk data.

Starting capital1.25M USD oversubscribed seed round from Kaya Founders, Iterative, Founders Launchpad and Manila Business Angels (announced April 2025).

How it started

Established in 2024 by fintech veterans behind FinScore, a Philippine credit scoring company that operated for six years before a successful exit; CEO Christo Georgiev saw fragmented, outdated credit data as the biggest barrier to affordable lending in emerging markets.

What happened

April 2025: raised an oversubscribed $1.25M seed from Kaya Founders, Iterative, Founders Launchpad and Manila Business Angels; 25+ million records and five contributing ecosystems already integrated; member institutions get first-mover access to real-time credit data designed to cut NPLs.

How it ended up

Early-stage, building out the bureau: using the seed for technology, market expansion and lender partnerships.

Background

LenderLink is a fintech with bases in Singapore and Manila, established in 2024 by veterans of FinScore — a Philippine credit scoring company that ran for six years before a successful exit. Its bet: the Philippines' consumer lending market has grown fourfold in a decade to about US$14 billion, but lenders still work on fragmented, outdated credit data, and that missing infrastructure is what keeps interest rates high.

The company is building what it calls the Philippines' first high-tech, real-time credit bureau: an API-first platform that lets lenders report and access consumer credit risk data in real time, with AI, data science and automation. It claims more than 25 million records across five contributing ecosystems are already integrated, and that member institutions get first-mover access to real-time credit data aimed at lowering non-performing loans.

In April 2025 LenderLink closed an oversubscribed US$1.25 million seed round from Kaya Founders, Iterative, Founders Launchpad and Manila Business Angels. CEO Christo Georgiev said the funding attacks 'the foundational problem' of credit infrastructure, and the money is earmarked for technology enhancements, market expansion and partnerships with lenders and financial institutions.

What has to be true

  • The founding team had already built and exited FinScore, proving they knew both the data problem and how to sell to Philippine lenders.
  • Real-time credit data attacks default rates directly, which is a cost every lender shares.
  • API-first integration lowers the switching cost for banks, cash lenders, digital banks and BNPLs at once.
  • 25 million records integrated before the round gave the network early critical mass and a first-mover story.

What can be applied

In a market where the missing infrastructure is data, the wedge is to become the infrastructure — get lenders reporting and querying in real time before anyone else owns the network.

Aftermath

As of 2026-09-01, LenderLink remains a private early-stage company building out the credit bureau with its seed funding; no further round or licensing milestone has been publicly reported since April 2025.
