PromptQL launched in July 2026 as an AI-native team workspace pitched as 'multiplayer AI that replaces Slack.' The product was built by the team behind Hasura — co-founders Tanmai Govindan and Rajoshi Ghosh, with Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom listed in the launch post — who said it came about 'entirely by accident.' A 70-person internal crew had migrated from Slack to PromptQL in February 2026, and Ghosh credited the GPT-5.6 ('Sol') generation of models with turning the product from better answers into a substrate for multi-step production tasks.
