Spacely AI's $1M bet: generative AI removes 80% of architects' concept work

Bangkok startup brings generative AI to architecture and interior design — AI rendering, virtual staging, 2D-to-3D; $1M seed led by PropTech Farm Fund III

The betThat architects will rebuild workflows around generative AI, paying for a platform that turns 2D plans into rendered concepts and removes up to 80% of manual work.Scaling

What the business is

Cloud generative-AI suite for architecture and interior design: AI rendering, image editing, virtual staging and automated 3D model generation, integrated with SketchUp.

Starting capitalUS$1M seed (Jul 2025) led by PropTech Farm Fund III, following a pre-seed from SCB 10X

How it started

Founded in Bangkok by CEO Paruey Anadirekkul as an AI rendering tool for architects and interior designers. It won the Pitch Club at PropTech Portal Watch Bangkok 2024, attracted a pre-seed from SCB 10X in March 2024, and grew mostly through organic search as design professionals adopted AI rendering.

What happened

By mid-2025 the company said revenue grew 10× over the prior year, serving 1,500+ design firms in 50+ countries and producing over two million renders. In July 2025 it raised a $1M seed led by PropTech Farm Fund III, with participation from Wannaporn Phornprapha (P Landscape), Ted Thirapatana (UTC Holdings) and former GitLab VP Mek Stittri, to launch its 2D-to-3D automation engine and establish a US presence.

How it ended up

Still live and scaling: by late 2025 it was describing itself as a 'generative AI visualisation marketplace', serving 1,500+ firms, with a US push planned for Q4 2025.

Background

Spacely AI is a Bangkok-based startup bringing generative AI to architecture and interior design. Its cloud suite offers AI rendering for interior and exterior spaces, image editing, AI virtual staging and automated 3D model generation, fully integrated with SketchUp via Extension Warehouse, with more CAD tools being added.

The bet was that architects would rebuild their workflows around AI — and that design speed would decide deal speed. CEO Paruey Anadirekkul pitched at PropTech Portal Watch Bangkok 2024, won the Pitch Club, and attracted a pre-seed from SCB 10X in March 2024. By mid-2025 the company said revenue had grown 10× in a year, with 1,500+ design firms across 50+ countries and over two million renders produced.

In July 2025 Spacely AI raised a $1M seed led by PropTech Farm Fund III, with Thai angels including P Landscape's Wannaporn Phornprapha, to launch its 2D-to-3D automation engine — which the company says removes up to 80% of manual concept work — and to establish a US presence. By late 2025 it was describing itself as a generative AI visualisation marketplace and planning a US push with a local team.

What has to be true

  • Design speed determines deal speed: a 2D floor plan rendered as a furnished, photoreal space in minutes converts hesitant buyers long before construction starts.
  • Integrating with SketchUp removes adoption friction — professionals stay in software they already know instead of learning a new tool.
  • Traction came before capital: 10× revenue growth and 1,500+ firms across 50+ countries made a $1M seed easy to justify.
  • The 80%-of-concept-work claim targets the industry's most expensive bottleneck, not a nice-to-have feature.

What can be applied

Plug into the software professionals already use: integrating inside SketchUp let a small Bangkok startup ride architects' existing workflows, then expand from one task to the whole design stack.

Aftermath

As of September 2026 Spacely AI continues operating. After the July 2025 seed it planned to launch its 2D-to-3D automation engine and establish a US market presence with a local team (targeted for late Q3/early Q4 2025), and it was shifting from a rendering tool toward a 'generative AI visualisation marketplace' serving architects, interior designers and real estate portals; one Thai property portal was using its virtual staging tools to lift listing conversion.
