起因

Founded in Odense, Denmark in 2025 by a team whose backgrounds spanned Danish military intelligence, Meta data-center security and AI Act/DORA compliance at a major European financial group, Velatir launched its platform in January 2026 with the thesis that companies now run 100+ AI-connected services with no unified view of what data goes where. It deliberately built on European-owned, non-hyperscaler infrastructure.

Sales exploded after launch: no customers in January, 80 by August across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, France and the UK, with the team growing from zero to 30. A €5M seed round co-led by Spintop Ventures and Ugly Duckling Ventures (with n8n founder Jan Oberhauser and Universal Robots' Thomas Visti as angels) closed in two weeks.

结果

Still scaling: near $1M ARR, a Stockholm office opening October 2026, and four to five more European offices planned for 2027 as EU AI Act general-application rules create urgency among regulated buyers.
