What the business is
Adventr builds AI-driven interactive media — tools to create and play games, videos and music — including Adventr.tv, a streaming platform for console-less gaming.
How it started
Devo Harris, a Grammy-winning producer and co-founder of the G.O.O.D Music label founded with his cousin Kanye West, first explored interactive video with the choose-your-own-adventure clip 'Attack of the 5 foot Hipster' by Riot In Paris, then founded Adventr to let audiences step inside media rather than watch it.
What happened
Matt Fisher — a veteran of Amazon, Microsoft, Nordstrom and Auth0, and most recently co-founder and CTO of fashion startup Daydream, which raised a $50 million seed — had been advising Adventr after leaving Daydream in October 2024. In August 2025 he joined as a late-stage co-founder as the company went 'all-in on gaming and immersive experiences'. Fisher's thesis is voice on both sides: creators prompt and edit Adventr's system by talking to it, and voice drives play inside the content — 'voice tears down the old walls and flips audiences into creators.'
What has to be true
The bet is an interface shift: if voice is how people create and play, the creation tool and the game collapse into one surface.
Fisher's path — a $50 million-seed startup, Auth0, Amazon, Microsoft — brings consumer-scale engineering to a founder from music production.
Console-less gaming widens the funnel first; voice-built, generative worlds are the destination.
What can be applied
A platform hire can be the strategy announcement: adding a repeat founder as late-stage co-founder told the market where the company was going.
Aftermath
As of August 2025, Adventr.tv was live, Fisher was hiring engineers in the Seattle area, and the company was building voice-driven creation and play across its existing catalogue.
