Bluwhale bets AI agents need an on-chain 'intelligence layer'; $100M, Binance listing
Singapore-based Bluwhale bets decentralized AI agents need wallet data plus compute on-chain; $10M Series A, $BLUAI TGE, Binance Alpha listing Oct 2025.
Bluwhale
What the business is
Bluwhale is a Singapore-based decentralized AI network that powers financial AI agents on blockchains — a Layer-3 stack combining user financial-health scores, data, storage and compute.
Starting capital:$7M seed (March 2024) led by SBI; $100M announced January 2025 (incl. $75M token purchase commitment, seed/Series A and node-sale proceeds); $10M Series A (October 2025) led by UOB Venture Management.
How it started
Founded in 2022 by Han Jin and Adam Rowell — machine-learning veterans from Stanford, Berkeley and TikTok — Bluwhale first built an AI personalization protocol that indexed wallet behavior so dApps could reach opted-in users, raising a $7M seed led by SBI in March 2024 and claiming 180 companies in beta with 270M+ wallets indexed.
What happened
In January 2025 SiliconANGLE reported a $100M raise and a strategic pivot: partnering with Caldera to build Oceanum, a zero-knowledge Layer-3 rollup on Arbitrum for AI agents and models, marketed as the 'intelligence layer' spanning all L1/L2 networks. In October 2025 Bluwhale closed a $10M Series A led by UOB Venture Management, with SBI Holdings and top-100 blockchains including Sui, Tezos, Cardano, Arbitrum and Movement Labs; its TGE followed on October 21, listing $BLUAI on Binance Alpha and Futures.
How it ended up
Still scaling: 3.6M+ users worldwide, hundreds of AI agents live on- and off-chain, and institutional partners (UOB, SBI, major chains) on multi-year commitments.
Background
Bluwhale is a decentralized AI network now based in Singapore, built to power financial AI agents on blockchains with a Layer-3 stack that combines wallet data, storage and compute. It was founded in 2022 by Han Jin and Adam Rowell, machine-learning veterans from Stanford, Berkeley and TikTok, and first shipped as a Web3 personalization protocol that indexed wallet behavior so apps could reach opted-in users.
That first bet monetized user data: wallet holders could control and sell access to their own footprint, and TFN reported in March 2024 — after a $7M seed led by SBI — that 180 companies were in beta and 270M+ wallets were indexed. In January 2025 SiliconANGLE reported a $100M raise and a pivot: Bluwhale would partner with Caldera to build Oceanum, a zero-knowledge Layer-3 rollup on Arbitrum, marketed as the 'intelligence layer' every AI agent across L1/L2 chains would plug into.
The pivot gained institutional traction in October 2025: a $10M Series A led by UOB Venture Management, with SBI Holdings and top-100 blockchains including Sui, Tezos, Cardano, Arbitrum and Movement Labs. The same month the company held its Token Generation Event for $BLUAI and listed on Binance Alpha and Binance Futures on October 21, 2025.
As of late October 2025 Bluwhale reported more than 3.6 million users worldwide and hundreds of AI agents delivering services, recommendations and transactions on- and off-chain. TNGlobal and Ventureburn describe it as Singapore-based; TFN's 2024 reporting called it Silicon Valley-headquartered. User and network figures are company-reported.
What has to be true
- Bluwhale monetized the same wallet intelligence twice: first as ad targeting, then as the data and compute infrastructure for on-chain AI agents.
- Institutional backers — UOB Venture Management, SBI Holdings, Cardano, Arbitrum, Sui, Tezos and Movement Labs — gave the pivot credibility and capital.
- A consumer-first financial-health score plus an agent marketplace built 3.6M+ users before the token ever launched.
- The Layer-3 Oceanum design bundled data, storage and compute into one product, attacking the fragmentation problem across L1/L2 chains.
What can be applied
When the market you bet on stalls, reframe the same asset as infrastructure for the next wave: the wallets Bluwhale indexed for ads became the data layer its AI-agent bet needed.
Aftermath
As of late October 2025 Bluwhale is still scaling: it closed a $10M Series A led by UOB Venture Management (with SBI Holdings and top blockchain networks), reported more than 3.6 million users with hundreds of AI agents delivering services on- and off-chain, and listed its $BLUAI token on Binance Alpha and Futures on October 21, 2025. TNGlobal and Ventureburn describe the company as Singapore-based; TFN's 2024 reporting called it Silicon Valley-headquartered. Figures are company-reported.
