Elevify is a Brazilian edtech that aggregates and organizes existing online educational content - YouTube videos, podcasts, articles and books - into structured courses with video, audio, text and infographics, on free and premium plans of about US$17 per course in Brazil. It links every course back to its original source, creating what the company calls a circular content economy, and offers about 30,000 courses per country across 140 countries and 40 languages.

The world's learning content already exists; what is missing is curation: AI-structured courses from videos, podcasts and books can reach global scale on a tiny team.

About US$2.9 million total: US$790,000 pre-seed (2023), US$740,000 extension (2025) and US$1.35 million seed (2026)

Rangel Barbosa, a serial edtech founder who launched Mira Educação in 2016 and Ampli in 2020 before Ampli was acquired by Cogna Educação, started Elevify with Cesar Silva, another ex-Cogna operator. The premise was that students are overwhelmed by scattered digital resources rather than short of content, so the product should curate existing videos, podcasts and books into coherent learning paths instead of producing courses from scratch. Elevify raised a US$790,000 pre-seed in October 2023 led by Big Bets.

Elevify grew from about 5,000 new students per month in January 2025 to 220,000 by March 2026, with monthly revenue rising from US$15,000 to US$120,000 and breakeven reached that month. It launched internationally in January 2026 across 140 countries and 40 languages, made the United States its second-largest market, and became the first Brazilian startup accepted into edtech accelerator SuperCharger Ventures. In April 2026 Newtopia led a US$1.35 million seed with GP Investimentos, Lotux.VC and Malta Enterprise, plus follow-ons from Vivo Ventures and Big Bets, to move the product past MVP, add B2B and public-exam verticals, and double the team to 15.

The raw material - world-class educational content - already exists free online, so curation adds value without content production costs.

Founder Rangel Barbosa had already built and exited edtech businesses to Cogna, giving the team operator credibility and distribution instincts.

Growth from 5,000 to 220,000 new students a month in 14 months, with breakeven at US$120,000 monthly revenue, validated demand before scaling.

International pricing in euros and dollars raises revenue per user above Brazilian market rates, funding growth in developing countries.

You do not need to own the content to own the learning experience: curation over abundance can turn a seven-person team into a global platform.

As of May 2026 Elevify is a seven-person Brazilian edtech with about 220,000 new students per month, US$120,000 monthly revenue at breakeven, and a catalog of about 30,000 courses per country across 140 countries and 40 languages. A US$1.35 million Newtopia-led seed brings total funding to about US$2.9 million and will fund product work past MVP, B2B and public-exam verticals, and hiring to 15 people. The ambitious 2027 goal of surpassing Coursera with 20 million monthly users depends on whether aggregation can sustain retention and conversion once paid marketing scales.
