Konvy is a Thai omnichannel beauty and personal care retailer selling 20,000+ products from 1,000+ brands through its own site, marketplaces, social commerce and offline retail.

That a beauty-only retailer, started before Thailand had significant e-commerce players, could out-curate horizontal marketplaces and own the shopper relationship.

Raised a US$10M Series A from Insignia Ventures Partners in October 2022, then a US$22M Series B led by Cool Japan Fund with Insignia re-upping in May 2026.

Chinese entrepreneur Qinggui Huang, who had managed fashion e-commerce platforms in China, started Konvy in 2012 after confirming with brands that health and beauty was a priority spending category for Thai consumers. Thailand had both strong demand and supply: consumers were eager to upgrade their beauty routines, social media usage was among the world's highest, and the country had hosted international beauty manufacturing for decades.

Konvy grew into Thailand's leading beauty e-commerce platform, carrying brands such as L'Oreal, Shiseido, Sulwhasoo, Eucerin and La Roche-Posay across 20,000+ SKUs. It rode the pandemic-era shift as Gen Z bought products seen on TikTok, building its own social commerce presence, and expanded into marketplaces and offline retail. Insignia Ventures Partners led a US$10M Series A in October 2022 to accelerate the omnichannel push.

In May 2026 Konvy closed a US$22M Series B led by Cool Japan Fund, with Insignia re-upping, to take its proven omnichannel model into the Philippines and Malaysia, scale private-label brands, and act as the regional gateway for Japanese beauty and health labels.

Starting before marketplaces dominated let Konvy build brand relationships and shopper trust that horizontal platforms could not easily replicate.

Focusing on one vertical meant deeper merchandising, authenticity guarantees and localization than generalists offered for beauty specifically.

A social-commerce feedback loop let Konvy follow Thai Gen Z behavior from LINE to TikTok instead of waiting for shopping trends to reach it.

Omnichannel distribution hedged against any single platform, so no marketplace could hold Konvy hostage.

A specialist that starts before marketplaces harden can win a vertical by owning brand curation and shopper data; the real test comes when that playbook must travel across borders.

As of May 2026 Konvy has closed a US$22M Series B led by Cool Japan Fund, after a US$10M Series A in 2022, to fund Southeast Asian expansion, private-label brands and Japanese beauty labels. It already operates in Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines across its site, marketplaces, social commerce and offline retail, with 20,000+ products from 1,000+ brands. Konvy.com was the top commercial Thai beauty site in Similarweb's July 2026 ranking, and management calls the company the region's leading gateway for international beauty products.
