What the business is
Natura is an AI and hardware startup building wearable interfaces for AI agents — first the HumanPods earbuds, now the Interface ring.
The bet
A $99 ring that summons any AI agent will drive adoption now and monetize later at $9 a month — cheap hardware as the on-ramp to agents.
How it started
Founder Carlo Edoardo Ferraris previously founded tech-accessories company Rolling Square. After years of consumer hardware he became convinced rapidly advancing AI needed a new interface that lets people ask for what they want the way they'd ask a person. Natura's first product was HumanPods, AI-enabled earbuds for interacting with agents.
What happened
Natura moved from earbuds to a ring for 24/7 access — 'you can go shower with it; you can sleep with it,' Ferraris told TechCrunch in an interview. Interface routes requests to agents including Meta's Muse, Instinct, Grokbot, Claude and ChatGPT, delivers answers through headphones, an iPhone Live Activity or the NatureOS app, and doubles as a health tracker for heart rate, HRV, sleep stages, movement and skin temperature, with 6–12 days of battery and 100-minute recharges.
What has to be true
The ring bets agent interaction becomes the next dominant interface — an always-on control surface rather than a phone app.
Undercutting on hardware price to seed adoption, then monetizing with a $9 monthly subscription, inverts the premium-device pricing of health-ring incumbents.
Multi-agent routing — Claude for code, Instinct for reservations, Grokbot for errands — positions the ring as agent-neutral infrastructure rather than a single-vendor accessory.
Health tracking gives the ring all-day, everyday utility while the agent use case matures with the agent market itself.
What can be applied
When a platform shift is early, price the hardware as the funnel: charge for access and attachment later, once the device has become the default way to reach agents.
Aftermath
As of October 8, 2026, Interface was announced but not yet shipping: pre-orders expected to open the next month, with shipping slated for December 2026 or January 2027. The pricing plan is $99 at launch, a three-to-six-month free period, then $9 per month. Ferraris expects most people to have a personal agent 'within a year, more or less,' with early adopters mostly people in tech.
