Banking services for freight carriers: invoice processing, payment collection and factoring in one place, without annual contracts.

That cash flow is the lifeblood of small carriers, so a freight marketplace gains by owning fast, transparent payment and funding.

More than $19M raised since 2022 from Gradient Ventures, Construct Capital, Bezos Expeditions and others

Marcus Womack, a former Uber product leader, co-founded Outgo in 2022 with Mike Bohlander and Ray Fortna; the three had worked together at iLike and Familiar, and Bohlander and Fortna were principal software engineers at Convoy.

Outgo built finance software for trucking companies to manage invoices and collect payments, and to access cash quickly through factoring, with no annual contracts. It raised more than $19M from investors including Gradient Ventures, Construct Capital, Neo, PSL Ventures, Bezos Expeditions, Fintech Fund, Operator Stack and Upper90.

On 15 May 2025 DAT, a Roper Technologies unit founded in 1978, announced the acquisition for undisclosed terms; Outgo keeps operating in Seattle with its 30 staff as a distinct service.

DAT's CEO said payments are at the heart of a high-trust marketplace and that Outgo sets the standard for funding speed, transparency and flexibility.

Small carriers depend on quick access to cash, which factoring and instant invoicing address.

For Outgo, joining DAT gives its banking product distribution inside the largest truckload marketplace.

A marketplace that connects buyers and sellers eventually has to own the payment between them; a payments startup with trucking-specific insight is a shortcut to it.

As of 15 May 2025, Outgo kept operating from Seattle with 30 employees as a distinct DAT service, and Womack joined DAT's executive team. GeekWire described Outgo as one of a growing number of logistics tech startups in the Seattle region.
