What the business is
An AI-native cloud platform that combines PSA and RMM tools for managed service providers and internal IT teams.
The bet
That a smaller, AI-first organisation with a sharper focus on automation can build and deliver its MSP and IT operations products better.
Starting capital
Over $54M raised, including a $25M Series C in 2025 led by March Capital.
How it started
Jayakumar K and Arvind Parthiban, who previously worked at Freshworks and Zoho, founded SuperOps in 2020. It raised its last round, a $25M Series C led by March Capital, in 2025, bringing funding to over $54M.
What happened
In April 2026 SuperOps confirmed to Inc42 that it laid off around 60 employees, nearly 30% of its workforce and largely from an engineering team of nearly 100, in a restructuring to improve efficiency and speed a transition to an AI-first organisation. Moneycontrol first reported it and said the decision aligns the structure with its long-term AI roadmap.
What has to be true
SuperOps wants a more efficient organisation aligned to an AI-focused roadmap, per the Moneycontrol report.
It is repositioning its IT-operations products around automation and AI-led development.
Its AI assistant, Monica, already handles routine tasks such as ticket summaries and reports.
Other Indian startups, including Acko and Livspace, made similar AI-linked cuts.
What can be applied
A year after a Series C, cutting a third of staff, mainly engineers, in the name of becoming AI-first signals that the company expects AI to do work engineers did, not just to cut costs.
Aftermath
As of 2026-04-24 SuperOps had cut about 60 staff, nearly 30% of the workforce, mostly engineering; the reasons come from a Moneycontrol report that SuperOps confirmed in outline.
