How it started
Jason Huang founded TS Conductor in Huntington Beach, California to commercialize a pre-tensioned carbon-composite core that replaces the steel in ACSR cables. Its first US deployment was with Montana-Dakota Utilities in 2021; the Southern California factory opened in 2023 and quickly ran near capacity.

TS Conductor, founded by Jason Huang in Huntington Beach, California, makes AECC — an aluminum-encapsulated carbon-core cable that carries two to three times the power of the steel-core ACSR wires standard on the US grid, on the same towers and with standard fittings. Its bet was that utilities would re-conductor existing lines rather than spend a decade permitting new corridors.

Deployments include Montana-Dakota Utilities (its first, 2021), Tennessee Valley Authority, Arizona Public Service, and SRP's Phoenix line.
