业务是什么
Secondhand selling platform that scans email receipts from 1,000-plus retailers and turns them into ready-made resale listings
The bet
The listing chore is recommerce's bottleneck; auto-generating listings from purchase data — even data bought from a dead marketplace — unlocks unreachable supply
如何开始
Erik Kymalainen loved the idea of secondhand but had never sold a thing in five years of trying platforms — listing 'still feels like a chore'. Founded in 2024, Bought connects to Gmail and Outlook via secure APIs, scans receipts from over 1,000 retailers, and extracts photos, descriptions and prices to create listings in seconds.
发生了什么
In July 2025 Bought announced its second acquisition in six months: Netflea.com, a Finnish secondhand pioneer founded in 2014 that once generated up to EUR 3 million a year across 13 European markets but had been discontinued by its bankruptcy estate. Bought would not relaunch it — instead users could transfer their purchase and sales history so past purchases could be auto-listed. The first acquisition, Zadaa, was a large still-active marketplace; both deals bought latent supply rather than traffic or revenue.
成立的前提
The secondhand market doubles every three years, but the bottleneck is sellers, not buyers
Auto-generated listings from receipts remove the chore that kept even willing users from ever selling
A dead marketplace's purchase history is exactly the dataset Bought's listing engine runs on
Staying local until logistics are perfected keeps the model honest before scaling to supply-rich cities like Berlin or London
可以借鉴什么
In marketplaces the moat is supply, not traffic: buying a bankrupt competitor's purchase history can be worth more than buying its users, because the data itself generates listings.
后续
As of July 2025 Bought was Finland-only, offering Netflea's former users automatic history transfer into the Bought app, with same-hour Wolt deliveries live and a stated plan to scale quickly across Europe once the product proved out.
