Bubble Robotics

Bubble Robotics

Bubble Robotics builds resident underwater robots (BubbleDock docking station + BubbleBots robot fleet), autonomously inspecting, monitoring, and collecting data at sea for several consecutive months, covering wind turbine foundations, subsea cables, maritime safety, and environmental monitoring, charging on a robotics-as-a-service basis with zero upfront procurement for customers.

5 million pre-seed (led by Episode1 Ventures, Asterion Ventures, and Norrsken Evolve, 2026-04)

起因

In 2025, Patricia Apostol (NASA and ETH Zürich robotics engineering background) and Jean Crosetti (business and operations experience) met and formed a team at Entrepreneurs First’s kick-off weekend; EF co-founder Alice Bentinck described the pair as “world-class technical credibility + rare business instinct,” with strong customer obsession. The company is distributed across Paris, San Francisco, and Zurich.

经过

Came out of stealth in April 2026, announcing a $5 million pre-seed (led by Episode1, Asterion, and Norrsken Evolve); at that time it had already received more than $4 million in letters of intent from offshore wind, maritime safety, and subsea infrastructure customers. The product has two parts: the BubbleDock docking station can be deployed from shore or a vessel and stay resident for up to 6 months; BubbleBots underwater robots carry cameras, sonar, multibeam echo sounders, hydrophones, and eDNA sensors, benchmarking against Saildrone, Saronic, Sea Machines, and others, with the differentiator being that they can remain on the seabed for long periods instead of being deployed for each mission.

结果

Still building: plans to first land initial commercial systems in three markets—offshore wind, maritime safety, and subsea infrastructure—converting $4 million in letters of intent into revenue; public sources do not yet have first deployment or revenue figures, and the differentiation of “resident versus dispatching a vessel each time” must be proven by delivery.

  • EF的价值在于配对:Apostol(技术)和Crosetti(商业)在启动周末组队;互补的能力是前提。
