B2B ecommerce platform that consolidates raw-material purchasing for Indian SMEs and embeds supply-chain financing in the same flow.

Embedded supply-chain financing for SMEs — against more than $300B of unmet credit needs — and predictable raw-material buying can each scale as standalone businesses.

$205M raised in total from Accel, Chiratae Ventures, IFC, BCapital, Schroders, BII and Tiger Global.

Founders Sachin Agrawal, Aniket Deb and Ankit Tomar built a B2B ecommerce platform for SME raw-material buying and added embedded supply-chain financing, backed by Accel, IFC, Tiger Global and others.

In September 2024 the group carved the two lines into new, larger businesses: BizongoFin under former banker Kiran Dev, to deliver flow-based embedded financing against unmet SME credit needs, and BizongoBuy under Prahlad Krishnamurthi (Cleartrip, Flipkart, Infosys, ITC), for predictable raw-material delivery at best prices.

The same announcement added Gaurav Singhania (American Express, LendingKart) as CFO 'in the run up to a planned public listing' and Amol Wanjari (Amazon, Acko) as chief technology and product officer. Agrawal said the market opportunity in Indian B2B ecommerce was 'scaling rapidly'.

A marketplace business and a lending business scale differently; splitting them gives each a dedicated CEO accountable for its own economics.

Embedded supply-chain finance rides on purchase flows Bizongo already consolidates, so credit can be distributed inside the buying journey.

Hiring a CFO explicitly for 'the run up to a planned public listing' signals the carve-out was structured for IPO scrutiny.

When one platform grows two businesses with different economics — marketplace and credit — separating them under dedicated CEOs forces each to prove itself before an IPO.

As of September 16, 2024, both units operated under newly hired CEOs and Bizongo had filled its CFO and CTPO seats; the planned public listing had no announced date.
