What the business is

Dealism sells an AI sales agent for WhatsApp Web, Instagram DMs and its own app that reads intent and emotion, adapts to a brand's voice, and guides conversations toward checkout.

Starting capital$15M angel round (November 2025) led by GL Ventures with HSG, Linear Capital and other angels

How it started

Leo Huan, former COO of Youzan (China's first publicly listed SaaS, often called the Chinese Shopify) and a former Hillhouse Capital investor, founded Dealism in Singapore in 2025. At Youzan he ran a 3,000-person sales organization driving over $15 billion in GMV, and concluded that technology had sped up processes without making interactions more persuasive.

What happened

In November 2025 Dealism announced a $15M angel round led by GL Ventures (Hillhouse's early-stage arm) with HSG, Linear Capital and other angels, alongside the launch of its AI Sales Agent. The product supports WhatsApp Web, Instagram DMs and a Dealism mobile app, claims setup in minutes without code, and says it learns from millions of real sales conversations to handle negotiation, storytelling and objection handling per conversation.

How it ended up

Still live: after its November 2025 launch and $15M round, Dealism said it would use the capital for global market entry, product intelligence, and teams in behavioral science, sales methodology and AI.

Background

Dealism is a Singapore startup, founded in 2025 by Leo Huan, that sells an AI sales agent designed to run persuasive conversations on messaging channels — WhatsApp Web, Instagram DMs and its own mobile app. Its pitch: traditional chatbots react message by message, while Dealism reads intent, emotion and hesitation and actively guides the sale toward checkout.

Huan came from Youzan, China's first publicly listed SaaS company (often called the Chinese Shopify), where as COO he oversaw a sales organization of more than 3,000 people and helped drive over $15 billion in GMV; he had also been a Hillhouse Capital investor. His insight was that technology had accelerated sales processes but rarely made them more persuasive or human.

In November 2025 Dealism announced a $15 million angel round led by GL Ventures — Hillhouse's early-stage arm — with HSG, Linear Capital and other angels, and launched what it calls the world's first AI sales agent built on 'Vibe Selling', a framework that codifies elite sales techniques including negotiation, storytelling and objection handling into adaptive conversations.

The company targets creators selling coaching and courses, solopreneurs, e-commerce merchants, support teams and B2B sales, says the agent can be operational in minutes without code, and plans to spend the round on product intelligence, global market entry, and teams in behavioral science, sales methodology and AI.

What has to be true

  • Huan's operating record — a 3,000-person sales org and $15B+ GMV at Youzan — gave investors a founder who had actually run sales at scale, not just built software.
  • Messaging apps are where commerce conversations already happen across Southeast Asia, making WhatsApp and Instagram DM coverage a distribution wedge US-first tools could not claim.
  • Positioning as 'vibe selling' rather than 'another AI chatbot' differentiated Dealism from a crowded conversational-AI market at launch.
  • GL Ventures, HSG and Linear Capital brought China-linked capital and networks that matched a founder with a Chinese SaaS background entering global markets.

What can be applied

The next wedge in AI sales is codifying timing, tone and trust into software; a founder who has run thousands of salespeople can claim that craft and raise $15M before a product is proven.

Aftermath

As of mid-November 2025, Dealism had just launched and closed its $15M angel round; it said the capital would go toward advancing the agent's intelligence, expanding into global markets and growing teams in behavioral science, sales methodology and AI. No user counts or revenue were disclosed, and the company remained private.
