What the business is
Good Glamm Group is an Indian 'digital house of brands' built on community, commerce and content, including MyGlamm, POPxo and ScoopWhoop.
The bet
A single full-stack creator platform, spun out of the beauty group, can organise India's fragmented influencer economy for brands and creators.
Starting capital
₹200 Cr (about $26.8M) committed to the new entity.
How it started
MyGlamm consolidated into the Good Glamm Group in September 2021 to focus on community, commerce and content. Co-founder Priyanka Gill said the creator network at POPxo's Plixxo visibly lifted MyGlamm sales, so the group looked for other creator assets that could solve technology and data gaps.
What happened
In January 2022 the group acquired influencer marketing platform Winkl (33K active influencers, 150M reach) and video analytics startup Vidooly, then merged Plixxo, MissMalini, Winkl and Vidooly into the Good Creator Co as an independent entity. Their founders became cofounders, and ₹200 Cr was put in to scale from 250K+ creators to 1M+ in 2022.
What has to be true
Influencer marketing was unorganised, with brands running campaigns over WhatsApp and struggling to find the right creator
Plixxo's creators had already shown they could lift sales at the group's own brand MyGlamm
Winkl and Vidooly filled the technology and data-insight gaps in the creator stack
Peers were doing the same: Mamaearth had recently bought the content platform Momspresso
What can be applied
A roll-up that discovers one internal asset driving sales can package related acquisitions into a standalone company, but the target numbers are plans until delivered.
Aftermath
As of 5 January 2022 the Good Creator Co was newly formed and the 1M-creator and ₹250 Cr targets were plans, not results. Inc42 reported no later figures in this article.
