Meridian's work-journal bet: PH #1 for a privacy-first AI dev journal

Meridian is an open-source (MIT), local-first AI work journal: a Rust daemon plus Tauri tray capture on-screen activity, rebuild the day into a timeline, and draft daily summaries, standups, time reports, and Jira/Linear/GitHub/Azure DevOps updates for the developer to approve.

A developer's day should reconstruct itself from screen activity — privacy-first local software, not another cloud dashboard, should write the standup and tickets.

Co-founders Akarsh Hegde and Adithya Harish (Bengaluru) quit their jobs around May 2026 to build Meridian after watching planned-work estimates ignore debugging, PR reviews, incidents, and teammate help — work that never reaches standups or sprint reports.
