What the business is

MiChamba is a Mexican SaaS that transforms WhatsApp into a management platform — digitalized, measurable, traceable processes with an AI assistant (MarIA) on top.

Starting capitalUS$2.25M pre-seed (announced October 2025) led by Wollef, with Audaz Capital and Nido Ventures

How it started

Founded in 2024 in Mexico by Ricardo Flores, Humberto Bravo and Gilberto López, MiChamba set out to organize the 'chaos of WhatsApp' for teams whose work happens in the field — construction, hospitality, logistics.

What happened

MiChamba secured clients such as Pemex, Hilton and Repsol, then closed a US$2.25M pre-seed led by Wollef in late 2025 to fund MarIA's AI, expand in construction, hospitality and logistics, and enter the US Spanish-speaking market.

How it ended up

Still live: after the round, MiChamba is scaling across Mexico and preparing US entry, betting WhatsApp adoption among Spanish-speaking frontline workers there.

Background

MiChamba is a Mexican startup founded in 2024 by Ricardo Flores, Humberto Bravo and Gilberto López that turns WhatsApp into a management platform: processes become digitalized, measurable and traceable, with an AI assistant named MarIA handling reminders, shift summaries and alerts. The bet is that frontline teams in Latin America will not adopt new apps, but they will adopt structured work inside the chat they already use.

Founder Ricardo Flores came from construction work in El Paso, Texas, so the founders built for field operations — construction, hospitality and logistics — and landed clients including Pemex, Hilton and Repsol before raising external capital.

In late 2025 MiChamba closed a US$2.25M pre-seed led by Wollef, with Audaz Capital and Nido Ventures joining. The funds were earmarked for MarIA's AI, expansion across Mexico and logistics, and entry into the US market, where WhatsApp use is growing among Spanish-speaking frontline workers.

What has to be true

  • WhatsApp is the de facto operating channel for LatAm frontline teams, so the product rides existing behavior instead of fighting it.
  • The founder's own construction experience gave MiChamba a specific wedge: unstructured coordination and evidence-gathering in the field.
  • Zero-training adoption lowers the cost of switching, the usual killer of enterprise apps for operational workers.
  • Early enterprise logos (Pemex, Hilton, Repsol) gave the seed round traction and credibility.

What can be applied

Don't build the app users must learn — build inside the channel they already live in: MiChamba's wedge is zero training cost, because the interface is WhatsApp itself.

Aftermath

As of November 2025 MiChamba had closed its US$2.25M pre-seed and was using the funds to enhance MarIA, expand in construction, hospitality and logistics, and begin its move into the Spanish-speaking US market. The company had not disclosed revenue or user counts in the verified sources.
