How it started
After studying design and CS at a US university, 25-year-old Minkyu Lee (ex-Kakao intern, military software developer) chose founding over employment and returned to Korea. With three SOPT club co-founders — COO Kim Doyeon and engineers Shin Mingyu and Park Ikbeom — he began posting office-productivity apps on Product Hunt; one slide-making app drew 1,000 signups in 20 days, pointing to a real market.
What happened
Askitmore was founded in Seoul in 2025 and put Snapdeck's beta on Product Hunt in March 2025, ranking #5 Product of the Day. After seed investment from Korea Investment Accelerator (July 2025), the full product launched 2025-09-22: #2 Product of the Day, then #1 Product of the Week. Signups passed 10,000 by 2025-10-10, over 95% from outside Korea, with strong interest from the US and India.

Background
Snapdeck is the flagship product of Askitmore, a four-person Korean startup founded in 2025 by Minkyu Lee and three SOPT club co-founders. It sells an AI 'slide agent': type one prompt and the system infers intent, sources data, and assembles charts, layout and theme into a presentation in one to two minutes, which the user can then revise in plain language through a chat interface.
Lee chose Product Hunt as the launch channel from the start. A beta posted in March 2025 reached #5 Product of the Day; the full English-only product launched September 22, 2025, hit #2 Product of the Day and then #1 Product of the Week. Signups crossed 10,000 by October 10 — over 95% outside Korea — and reached 15,000+ users in 20+ countries within a month.
The bet is that AI-native generation, not template libraries, will decide the next presentation market — and that a Korean team with no marketing budget can win global users by shipping directly to Product Hunt's audience. Askitmore took a seed round from Korea Investment Accelerator, exhibited at TechCrunch Disrupt 2025, and targeted 100,000 MAU by end-2025 and $1M ARR in 2026.

Founder statements set goals of 100,000 MAU by end-2025 and $1M ARR in 2026; later results are not yet independently verified.
