What the business is
Agentic AI for pharmaceutical and medtech commercial operations: tender bidding, hospital contracting, doctor-facing marketing and distribution channels.
The bet
That enterprise AI's biggest value sits in vertical, industry-specific workflows — tenders, hospital contracts, channel distribution — not generic copilots.
Starting capital
$4.5M raised in early 2024 as Swish Club.
How it started
IIT Delhi graduate Dushyant Sapre — an early Google Cloud India employee who scaled a Singapore enterprise startup past $500M revenue — returned to India in 2023 and co-founded device-leasing startup Swish Club in 2024 with Suraj Kumar and Jai Anand.
What happened
Within two years the founders shut the original offering and relaunched as SwishX with four products: Tender IQ, Contract IQ, Marketing IQ (brochures converted to AI video in hours) and Channel IQ for fragmented pharmacy networks. It runs on Anthropic's LLMs plus Cartesia voice, restricts agents to verified sources to keep error rates under a claimed 2%, trains on 70,000+ Indian pharma tenders, and gives each customer a sandboxed workspace where agents learn org-specific approvals. Customers reportedly saw hospital contract renewals improve up to 8x and primary sales up ~20% (self-reported).
What has to be true
The pivot kept the customers and dropped the capital: the pharma relationships survived the business-model change.
India's $65Bn pharma industry still runs commercial operations on spreadsheets and legacy software — a huge, unglamorous surface.
Training on 70,000+ healthcare-only tenders is a data moat horizontal procurement platforms cannot copy.
Per-customer sandboxes mean day-90 performance beats day-one — the compounding is the retention.
What can be applied
When your business competes on interest rates, the customer base is the real asset: Swish Club's pharma clients were the signal that pointed to vertical AI.
Aftermath
As of 12 August 2026, SwishX ran with roughly 35 people, over 60% in engineering, product and design, acquiring customers mostly through referrals; Middle East expansion was paused amid geopolitical uncertainty. Sapre's stated five-year goal is thousands of pharma workspaces globally, measured in outcomes rather than revenue alone (all self-reported).
