Zomato runs India's food-delivery marketplace; RBL Bank issues credit cards; together they launched the Edition Classic and Black co-branded cards in March 2020.

Zomato signed a pact with RBL Bank and Mastercard in March 2020 to launch Edition Classic and Black cards: 5–10% cashback on Zomato and Blinkit spending, free Zomato Pro membership and access to major domestic airport lounges.

In April 2023 the bank announced the discontinuation: from 15 May 2023 users would no longer be able to use the Edition cards, the card dashboard would disappear from the Zomato app, cashback redemption would end 14 May, and outstanding dues including ongoing EMIs would transfer to a replacement 'RBL Bank Shoprite Credit Card', auto-credited by 30 May.

The co-branded card programme ended in May 2023; the number of cards issued over three years was never disclosed.

The card tied Zomato's loyalty stack — Pro, cashback, lounges — to daily spend on Zomato and Blinkit.

It ended as India's co-brand card market heated up: HDFC-Flipkart Wholesale and Tata Neu-HDFC had just launched.

Paytm and Citibank had dissolved their co-brand partnership months earlier, in January 2023.

Neither side explained the break; the bank simply stated the partnership 'is getting discontinued'.

Co-branded cards are easy to launch and awkward to bury: a replacement card inherits the dues and EMIs while the loyalty loop inside the app quietly disappears.

New RBL Shoprite cards began dispatching on 15 May 2023, with Edition benefits running until then; cashback redemption closed 14 May and balances auto-moved by 30 May. The news broke the same day Coca-Cola bought a 15% stake in Zomato's competitor Thrive.
