Founded in 2017 and led by co-founder and CEO Didier Toubia, Aleph Farms grows beef from cells of a premium Black Angus cow. Toubia says the aim is to complement conventional beef supply chains rather than replace them, which shapes how the company pursues regulators, partners and markets.

Aleph received the world's first cultivated beef approval from Israel's Ministry of Health, announced in January 2024, then filed in further markets. In January 2026 it made Singapore its Asia-Pacific scale-up hub through a contract development and manufacturing agreement with Cell Agritech — an asset-light model for regional production — and it has also worked with BBGI and Fermbox Bio on Thailand's first cultivated meat plant. The company had raised $147M as of the Singapore approval.

Regulatory approval is secured, production is next: the Singapore Food Agency clearance in August 2026 makes Aleph the only company cleared to sell cultivated beef in any market, and its Singapore production line is expected to be operational in the first half of 2027.
