Co-founders Nicolò Magnante, an ex-BCG consultant who had scaled two startups to millions in ARR, and Arseniy Shishaev, who spent years building high-performance data systems at Datadog and got paged at night for production incidents, kept finding that Sentry, Datadog and Grafana flooded Slack with duplicates while setup and maintenance never ended.

Admitted to Y Combinator's Spring 2026 batch, the pair built Superlog on a counterintuitive slogan: it is 'the observability tool you're not supposed to open.' The product scans a repository, instruments it with native OpenTelemetry, re-runs daily so telemetry does not decay as code changes, fingerprints errors into incidents, and has an agent investigate with full context and draft a fix. In June 2026 they released the core under Apache 2.0 and launched Superlog Cloud with a free tier and metered plans.

As of late August 2026 Superlog is an active two-person startup: the self-hosted community edition and paid Cloud product are both live, the GitHub repository holds the agentic pipeline, and YC lists the company as active with no disclosed revenue or customer counts.
