SaaS privileged-access platform that consolidates identity and access management across on-premises servers, SaaS apps and cloud infrastructure
The bet
Enterprises will swap ten identity tools for one platform spanning on-prem and cloud, human and machine access — built to unseat CyberArk, not to sell early

Rotem Lurie spent four and a half years as a lieutenant in Israel's Unit 8200, then was a Microsoft PM on what became Defender for Identity and the first product hire at Axis Security, which sold to HPE for $500M in 2022. At YL Ventures she watched three-person teams build to be acquired and chose the opposite path, founding Venice with CTO Or Vaknin just over two years before the February 2026 reveal.
发生了什么
Venice stayed in stealth for two years building a platform that folds the roughly 10 tools IAM teams juggle into one system for privileged access across on-premises servers, SaaS applications and cloud infrastructure, for humans and non-human entities alike. It raised a $25M Series A in December 2025 led by IVP, whose partner Cack Wilhelm framed the thesis around AI agents needing just-in-time, scoped permissions.

Lurie says AI automation cuts implementation to a week and a half from six months to two years — that speed claim, not price, is what must hold as incumbents respond.

As of February 2026 the team was split between Israeli R&D and a North American go-to-market organization, with nearly half the company women. Lurie said Venice was completely replacing legacy vendors at Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 customers and had roughly 18 months of runway to prove the two-year head start against better-funded rivals (self-reported in the interview).
