Swytchcode bets APIs must become AI experiences; PH #1 Nov 2025, then rebuilt for agents

But by June 2026 the team admitted in a postmortem that the launch product 'looked very different' — they rebuilt around what the launch taught them, shipping the Swytchcode CLI on 2026-06-17 as an execution layer that validates schemas, handles auth, guarantees idempotency and enforces policy across 2,000+ APIs.

Still running: after the #1 launch the company pivoted from a docs playground to the Swytchcode CLI execution runtime (MCP support for Claude, Cursor and Copilot) and keeps selling the same thesis — APIs must be AI-ready.

Swytchcode started from a real pain the founders felt themselves — hours lost to API integration — instead of inventing a market.

The docs page was a perfect wedge: it is where developers already are, and an OpenAPI spec can be transformed without changing the API.

MCP-first positioning let the product plug into Claude, Cursor and Copilot as the ecosystem standardized, rather than building one-off integrations.
