Postquant Labs' Quip Network is a blockchain whose proof-of-useful-work miners solve real optimization, simulation and search jobs: consumers buy compute credits for quantum and classical processors at spot rates, operators earn QUIP by running nodes on idle hardware (QPU, GPU, CPU, ASIC), and an asset layer wraps existing wallets in quantum-resistant signatures.

Quip Network is built by Postquant Labs, co-founded in Casper, Wyoming by Colton Dillion (CEO), who settled there with his family, and Dr. Richard Carback (CTO), a cryptographer and XX Network co-founder. Dillion told Oil City News on 2025-10-27 that the idea came from a missing layer: quantum computers exist, but there is no framework to coordinate time on machines owned by different people with different architectures; at the time the company had a co-founder and two part-time employees and was a finalist in the 2025 Casper Start-Up Challenge.

The public codebase dates to 2026-01-16, when quip-miner was created; it moved from a v0.1 stack with its own consensus and P2P layer to a v0.2 design where CPU, GPU and D-Wave QPU miners attach to a Substrate chain and solve Ising-model problems against its QuantumPow pallet. Postquant Labs announced Quip, a bitcoin wallet built on Arch Network with WOTS+ signatures, on 2026-04-28 (reported by Unchained the next day), and Quantum Zeitgeist covered the QuipSwap cross-chain launch after a live demo at ETHDenver. The company's own site claims 500+ active testnet nodes, 20,000+ quantum-resistant wallets and $1M+ of quantum-protected value on chain — self-reported figures.
