业务是什么
A Belgian subscription service furnishing offices, hospitality venues and real estate with sustainable, European-made furniture.
The bet
Companies will rent sustainably made European furniture by subscription instead of buying it — cheaper to access and with far less furniture in landfill.
启动资金
Around €900,000 of investment behind the two-month test phase, per the launch coverage.
如何开始
Serial entrepreneur Aïssa Laroussi, founder of fintech company Edebex, started Enky after COVID-19 to address sustainability in one of the most polluting industries. Its first ambassadors are designers and interior architects, who see Europe producing 11 million tons of furniture waste a year — only 3% recycled.
发生了什么
A two-month test phase without advertising drew 1,000 people, with a team of 15 installing over €5M of furniture across Belgium, Switzerland, Spain and France. In October 2024 Enky launched in the UK, extending the subscription model from SMEs to multinationals, educational institutions, hospitality professionals and property developers.
成立的前提
The subscription reframes circular furniture from a cost premium into a procurement win — access, flexibility and lower cost in one line item.
Designers and interior architects as first ambassadors give the model a distribution channel that works without advertising.
Europe's 11 million tons of annual furniture waste, with only 3% recycled, gives the model a hard regulatory and corporate-CSR tailwind.
可以借鉴什么
Circularity lands when it is priced as a subscription: buyers get lower-cost access to quality furniture, and the waste-reduction story comes with the contract.
后续
