Bruder built a prototype from a subwoofer and parts from Home Depot and AutoZone, and knocked a fire out from seven feet in his driveway. The startup then abandoned loudspeaker designs and dropped to about 20 Hz infrasound from a reciprocating piston, below the hearing range, so suppression could be powerful yet safe; TechCrunch exclusively reported the $3.5M seed from Khosla Ventures and Third Sphere on October 14, 2025.

The money funds hiring in Cleveland, near NASA's Glenn Research Center, and the testing needed for National Fire Protection Association certification — a process that typically takes about three years. The company is testing kitchen and home systems, has found its infrasound contains rather than extinguishes lithium-ion battery fires, is working with PG&E and Southern California Edison on utility equipment, holds a letter of intent with a chemical storage facility, and is in talks with insurers about premium discounts; its wildfire exterior-home system is moving more slowly while it waits for time at a suitable testing lab.
