起因

Founded in 2023 by Richard Phamdo — a decade-plus EV and autonomous-vehicle executive — with co-founders from Tesla, Cruise and Intel, Voltaic Marine grew out of Phamdo's observation that maritime was evolving far more slowly than autos. The company joined Antler's Fall 2025 U.S. residency in Austin and New York and was featured in Antler's portfolio showcase in September 2025.

In June 2025 Voltaic named DMS/Kinetyc as official contract manufacturing partner, with full-scale production scheduled for 2026. At CES 2026 it debuted the AEW24 — 570 hp motor, 300 kWh battery, patented hull with integrated cooling — and disclosed an oversubscribed $3M pre-seed. The company says the platform is designed to scale into commercial utility vessels and defense variants.
